Source: Anne Cady @findagrave.com - 7 Feb 2011 (Images @http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~stlawgen/CEMETERY/Hermon/HermonNew.HTM ) OBIT: Ogdensburg Journal - Mon 11 Mar 1935 HERMON - Mrs. Shirley Flack Booth, 63, died Friday afternoon at 3 at her home in this village after an illness of one year from heart disease. She had been confined to her bed for the past two weeks. Mrs. Booth was born in Edwards May 13, 1866, a daughter of George and Catherine Earle Slack (*Flack*). Her early life was spent in Edwards. She was twice married. She married Frederick Donaldson of Edwards on Nov. 27, 1838 (* a typo for 1888? *). He died in 1905. On Apr. 29, 1908, she married George Booth of Hermon who died Jan. 2, 1926. She had lived in Hermon since 1907. Mrs. Booth was a member of Hermon Chapter, 108, Order of the Eastern Star and of the Women's Relief Corps. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Stacy Lechich, who has lived with Mrs. Booth for the past 20 years; two brothers, Leon Flack of Harrisville and Henry E. Flack of Potsdam; one aunt, Mrs. Mina Brisbane of Edwards; one nephew George T. Lechich, of Syracuse; two nieces, Elizabeth and Judith Slack of Potsdam. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the home, Rev W. H. Stimson of the Hermon Methodist Episcopal Church officiating. The body was placed in the vault to await interment in the spring.
