  NOTES: Is Emma a daughter of William or could she be a sister? or a relative? or even adopted? If all the ages are right in the 1870 census then she was conceived when William was age 14 - not impossible but it makes me quite dubious !!! She was born 8 years before William and Mary got married - so my suspicion is she was adopted.
