    • NOTES: I do have a problem deciding who sarah's Mother is !!!!
      (1) Sarah's Death Certificate shows her mother as Isabella ALLEN, yet as far as I can tell, John was married to 'S Matilda CLEMENTS' (from NC Marriage records). and 'Isabella Jane WATSON'.
      (2) Sarah's BIRTH date is shown as 22 Jul 1866 and John's marriage to 'Isabella Jane Watson' was 18 Jan 1866, so it looks initially probable that Sarah is the daughter of Isabella Watson - BUT - in 1900 AND 1910 census it shows Isabella as having NO Children - so if Isabella had NO children then who was Sarah's mother ??
      (3) If you try to consider maybe Sarah was the daughter of Matilda CLEMENTS that doesnt seem right either. If Matilda died and John remarried - then Sarah's birth date wouldn't be 6 months after Johns second marriage. Then If John left Matilda - would she have just have given up the baby 6 months later - it just doesnt seem possible.
      SO - - I really dont know quite what to make of this.
