  DEATH: OBITUARY - B. G. Flack passes away at Lisbon. Byron G Flack passed away suddenly at his home on saturday at 11 AM. although Mr. Flack had been in ill health for a number of years his death came as a shock to family and friends. the son of the late Betsy Jones and Garret Flack, one of the pioneer families of this town, he was born Nov 24 1869 in the town of Lisbon, where he has always lived. During the early part of his life he was a prosperous farmer and in the horse and buggy days drove the finest team of horses in the town. He will be remembered as one of the outstanding turkey buyers whose influence helped to make the once upon a time Turkey Day such an important event, but on account of ill health had to retire from business life a few years ago. Mr Flack's wife who was the late Clara Rolfe preceeded him in death in February 1927. He is survived by three sons, Johnson, Lyle and Rolfe of Lisbon, two grandchildren Howard of Lisbon and Garret of Heuvelton one sister Mrs. Mary Wood of Lisbon and nieces and nephews . Funeral services were held on Monday pm at 2 o'clock from the home of Rev. John R. Ralph, pastor of the United Presbeterian Church of which Mr. Flack was a member for many years officiated. The pall bearers were John Caragher, John Powell,Velorus Wallace, Robert Middlemiss, William Porter and Chester North. Internment was mage at the family plot in the Lisbon Cemetery. Lester J Brown, undertaker had charge of the funeral arrangements.
