      The Late Mr Wm Flack -- We regret to record the passing of another aged and respected parishioner on Friday last, in the person of Mr William Flack at the residence of his only daughter, Mrs G Lummis, the Sandpits, after an illness of about a year's duration. A native of Lakenheath, he went to London when a young man and worked for more than 30 years in the Metropolitan Gas Works, Old Kent Road. On retiring he returned to reside in the village and became the licensee of the "Bull" Inn, which he relinquished two or three years ago. He was of a sympathetic and kind-hearted disposition and sympathy is extended to the family. The funeral took place on Tuesday, the Vicar (Rev I Morris) officiating. The coffin bore the inscription: "William Flack, died October 23rd, 1931, aged 76 years. The immediate mourners were: Mrs G Lummis (daughter), Misss Audrey and Joyce Lummis (grandchildren), Mr G Lummis jun (son-in-law), Mr and Mrs Lewis Flack (Barnham), Mr and Mrs T Willett (Barnham), brother and sister; Mr and Mrs John Palfrey, Mr and Mrs Joe Palfrey, Misses V and R Flack (nephews and nieces), Mr and Mrs G Lummis, Mrs B Gathercole, Mrs H Bonnett, Mrs E Lummis, and Mr and Mrs A Fincham. Others included Mrs Cash, Mrs Cook, Mrs Gathercole, Mrs Barker, Mrs J Flack, Mrs Brown, Mr Ashman, Miss Kent and others. Mr and Mrs John Palfrey, senior (brother-in-law and sister) were absent through illness.
      The floral tributes were:
