Death of Mrs Kent. -- We regret to record the passing of Mrs Kent, wife of Mr Robert Kent, which occured at their redidence in High Street. The deceased, who was highky esteemed throughout the parish, had been in rather poor health for a considerable time; nevertheless, she was able to attend to the household duties until a fortnight ago, when she had a seizure from which it was realised she would never recover. The end came on Friday. Much sympathy is felt for the Mr Kent and the five grown-up sons. The funeral took place on Wednesday, and, amid scenes of sorrow, the long procession traversed the High Street to St Mary's Church, where the service was held, the Vicar (Rev I Morris) officiating, as also at the graveside. The massive oak coffin bore on the breastplate the inscription, "Jane Kent, died November 13th, aged 66 years." The immediate mourners were:
