Ann Ward was found guilty of receiving stolen goods and sentenced to 14 years transportation in Lancaster on 21 Mar 1818. Ann is described as a widow late of Liverpool. She was transported on the "Lord Wellington" which arrived in Sydney on 20 January 1820. Her certificate of Freedom (32/0327 16 April 1832) describes her as wife to Tim Ballard.

(Kristy says Ann was also know as Harriet Healy (for example on the Death Certificate for her son Joseph Ballard), so perhaps Healy was her maiden name)
