Notes - BIOGRAPHY: Bert Flack located in Enterprise in 1880. The Dickinson County Bank was established on 1 June, 1894 with Bert as bank cashier and manager.
He became president in 1924 and remained in that position until his death. At his death he had given 53 years of continuous service to the bank. At his passing this tribute was given, and it truthfully
expresses a sentiment held by all who knew him: "Bert Flack was as near the perfect gentleman to meet with and visit as it is possible to find." Bert also served on the city council; was mayor for several
years; a member of the school board and city treasurer.
Bert purchased a handsome house on Bridge Street that was initially built by C. M. Case. Mr. Case was Treasurer of the J. B. Ehrsom Machine Company; proprietor of the Enterprise Journal and a banker,
having purchased the Bank of Enterprise. This bank failed during the panic of 1894 and Mr. Case died shortly thereafter. The house on Bridge Street still remains.
